Attention Defense contractors
The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) has issued the final Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) rule, effective November 10, 2025. Starting on this date, Phase 1 standards become mandatory, and compliance will be required for all new DoD contracts.

- Certification is now an enforceable requirement, not optional preparation
- Future contract awards will include certification language
